Welcome! You’re now part of a community dedicated to helping mah jongg instructors learn, grow, and thrive.
At Mahj Life, we believe great instructors are lifelong learners and that earning your reputation is an ongoing journey. Whether you’re just beginning your teaching career or expanding an established practice, the Guild provides structured learning, practical tools, and a supportive community to help you continue developing your knowledge, credibility, and confidence.
Your First Three Steps
Step 1. Watch the Guild Dashboard Navigation Video to learn how to navigate the dashboard and discover where to find your resources.
Step 2. Join the Nexus – Connect with fellow members, ask questions, and share insights in our private Facebook community.
Step 3. Take the Instructor Self-Assessment System (I-SAS). Complete the I-SAS if you wish to be listed in the Mahj Life Instructor Directory. The assessment consists of seven modules and takes about 45 minutes to complete. Modules 2–6 each include an untimed 12-question quiz that should be completed in one sitting. Your responses and results are private and are for your eyes only.

The Guild offers recurring support meetings every Monday at 3:00 PM ET via a single standing Zoom link.

If you click a link and see “Oops! Page cannot be found,” don’t worry—it’s usually one of two things:
- You’re not logged in. Click “Log In” in the menu, then try again.
- You’re using a browser that doesn’t play well with our site. We recommend Chrome for the best experience.
