Biography

Rhonda has been playing and teaching mah jongg since 2010. She grew up in the early 1970s to the familiar clack of tiles as her mother hosted weekly games with the “mahj ladies.” In 2010, after her mother passed away and she inherited her mah jongg sets, Rhonda finally learned to play—and quickly discovered a passion for teaching.

Since then, she’s taught in a wide range of settings, from private homes and senior residences to libraries, beach and golf clubs, and adult education programs. As interest in mahjong continues to grow, Rhonda has brought the game to unique venues, such as bookstores, boutiques, and cafés—helping to make mahjong more accessible and social than ever.
