Mary Theresa had always been interested in learning to play mah jongg but never got around to it. Then, in the planning stages of a girl’s trip, three of the ladies going on the trip were looking for a 4th so they could play. This was the excuse Mary Theresa needed to learn to play. She read everything she could find about the game, ordered a card, and found a few apps where she could practice playing. By the time the trip came along she felt ready to play with real people, unfortunately, everyone thought someone else was bringing the tiles. Now hooked on the game, she found a local group to play with and went to a retreat where she improved her skills. She doesn’t go anywhere without her travel set and is always ready to play or share the game with those who want to learn.
