Biography

Karen is a lifelong educator with over 40 years of teaching experience who recently discovered a new passion: mah jongg. Captivated by its strategy, challenge, and sense of community, she now blends her classroom expertise with her love of the game. Karen’s lessons are interactive, engaging, and fun—more like lively gatherings than lectures. She helps students understand the nuances, build confidence, and enjoy the full experience of mah jongg while connecting with others along the way.

Student Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate

In-Person Lesson Size: Up to 4 players
