Angela Kremers
Biography
Dr. Angela Kremers is a mah jongg instructor, tournament player, and community builder who is passionate about helping others discover the strategy, challenge, and connections that make the game so rewarding. Teaching American mah jongg using National Mah Jongg League rules, Angela is known for her warm, welcoming approach that helps new players gain confidence and enjoy success early in their mah jongg journey.
Drawing on the same care, attention to detail, and commitment to learning that she brings to her role as a College Dean, Angela creates a supportive environment where players can develop both their skills and their love of the game. She believes mah jongg is much more than a pastime—it strengthens critical thinking, fosters meaningful friendships, and builds lasting communities.
A certified instructor and dedicated student of the game, Angela has invested years studying the nuances of mah jongg strategy and gameplay. She has competed in tournaments across multiple states, earning several Top 5 finishes and bringing valuable competitive experience to her teaching.
As the founder of All About Mahjong and Conway Mahj Club, Angela has cultivated a thriving community of players in Central Arkansas. Through leagues, social play, special events, and tournaments, she creates opportunities for players of all skill levels to learn, connect, and grow together.
When she is not teaching or playing mah jongg, Angela enjoys golfing, traveling, supporting fellow instructors, pursuing lifelong learning, and spending time with her family, especially her new grandson. Whether working with beginners or experienced players, Angela’s goal is to help others build confidence, develop strategy, and experience the lifelong enjoyment that mah jongg can bring.
