Commentary: When a bettor forgets to place the bet either in writing or on a betting device, they must pay the winner just like the other players.

Question from a player:  Explain what happens if the Bettor forgets to bet?

Answer from the NMJL:   “If Bettor neglects to bet, the Bettor must pay the winner, as the privilege of a winning bet is lost.”
