ARRANGEMENT OF THE DISCARD SPACE (ARTICLE 227)

There is no League rule requiring discards to be placed in a particular formation or area of the discard space, so placing your discards randomly is perfectly acceptable. There is also no requirement for other players to rearrange discards into a preferred formation.

The standard practice is simply to discard into available open space, which naturally results in scattered discards. As the walls move and the available space changes, those discards may also be displaced.

Different groups may develop their own preferences for managing the discard space, but a group preference should not be mistaken for an official rule or imposed on others as one
