Biography
Twyla is a former elementary school teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience who now brings that same clarity, patience, and passion to teaching American mahjong. Based in Columbia, SC—but always up for travel—she offers everything from beginner-friendly lessons to advanced strategy for players ready to compete. Twyla also runs competitive leagues and hosts mahjong fundraisers, creating fun, purposeful opportunities for players to learn, grow, and connect. If you want to learn American mahjong, Twyla wants to teach you!
