Biography
Melanie discovered mahjong in the summer of 2024 after gifting a tile set to her father. Realizing she’d need to teach him, she first had to learn the game herself. Luckily, she was hooked and found Michele’s videos early in her journey. Melanie is a lifelong board gamer and veteran homeschool teacher who uses the classical method to make learning approachable and fun. With a background in user assistance at Microsoft, she’s passionate about breaking down complex ideas into simple, teachable steps—making mahjong the perfect outlet to hone her instructional craft.
