Meghan is the founder and owner of Two Bamboo Mahjong Rack + Tile, the first Mahjong studio and boutique in Northeast Indiana. Based in Fort Wayne, she has created a welcoming space where players can learn, shop, and immerse themselves in the beauty and community of American Mahjong. At home, she is a mom to two daughters who are—understandably—very ready for her to talk about something other than Mahjong.

Before launching Two Bamboo, Meghan spent years traveling to China and Taiwan, where she often saw Mahjong being played in parks, teahouses, and public squares. Inspired, she once brought home a set from Taiwan—only to discover that the tiles, rules, and Mandarin-only instructions were nothing like “the game on her phone.” She had no idea American Mah Jongg even existed.

Fifteen years later, she rediscovered the game through an American lens and fell completely in love with its strategy, artistry, and ability to bring people together. That renewed passion led her to open Two Bamboo and share the game with her community.

Outside the studio, Meghan is a published author and has delivered a TEDx talk on sibling loss, a topic central to her writing and advocacy. If she were a collector, her focus would be on preservation of sets that honor remembrance and story.
