Biography
Lisa is on a mission to turn mah jongg into a joyful, low-pressure way to build friendships and have fun. As the founder of Natural State Mahjong, she’s dedicated to teaching the official rules of American mahjong as outlined by the League—because once you understand the fundamentals, you can sit at any table with confidence.
What began as a casual curiosity quickly evolved into a passion, and now it’s a business built on connection, strategy, and play. Lisa offers relaxed, beginner-friendly lessons, workshops, and events throughout Central Arkansas, creating space for new and social players to build their skills, confidence, and community.
Her teaching style is structured yet approachable, firmly rooted in the belief that playing by the rules doesn’t detract from the fun; it enhances it. Whether you’re mahjong-curious or looking for something new to do with friends, Lisa makes it easy to learn, laugh, and fall in love with the game.
