Lissa Haag
Biography
Lissa first discovered mah jongg while traveling to Asia during her career in product development. Watching colleagues enjoy the game sparked her interest, and after retiring, she began playing the American version and quickly developed a love for both the game and the teaching process. She found particular joy in helping friends learn, guiding them as they built confidence and familiarity with the game.
Lissa now specializes in teaching private small-group and individual beginner lessons throughout the Kansas City metro area. Her classes are interactive, relaxed, and paced to meet the needs of her students. With an encouraging and patient teaching style, she creates a comfortable environment where new players can learn the game with confidence and enjoy the experience from the very beginning.
