Linda has a true passion for mah jongg—drawn not only to its intellectual challenge but to the community it creates. What began as a simple curiosity in the winter of 2023 quickly grew into a calling. After taking her first lessons, Linda discovered that mah jongg was more than just a game—it was an opportunity to connect people, build friendships, and give back to her Savannah community.

Today, Linda teaches and organizes two weekly mah jongg meetups, helping new groups take root throughout the area. She has taught in homes, clubhouses, community centers, and the YMCA, creating a welcoming environment wherever she goes. To make learning approachable, she even designed her own set of teaching tools that break the game into simple, manageable steps.

Her leadership extends beyond the table. Linda spearheads Savannah’s annual Mah Jongg Day fundraiser supporting local volunteer first responders, and she lends her event-planning expertise to the Junior League of Savannah for their philanthropic efforts.

For Linda, mah jongg is more than a pastime—it’s a platform for connection, service, and joy. “I’ve met some truly remarkable people through mah jongg who otherwise would have passed me by,” she says. “Mah jongg has become my thing!”
