Elizabeth brings more than three decades of experience in event planning and hospitality to the mah jongg table. A seasoned meeting and exhibition professional, she has spent her career designing experiences that bring people together—whether managing multi-million-dollar conventions for national associations or curating intimate gatherings that leave a lasting impression.

Elizabeth discovered mah jongg in early 2025 and was instantly captivated by its rhythm, strategy, and community. Drawing on her expertise in orchestrating meaningful experiences, she founded Mahj Podge and Mixtape Mahjong—two ventures dedicated to sharing the beauty, creativity, and social spark of American mah jongg.

Through guided instruction, curated open play, and themed events, Elizabeth helps players of all skill levels discover that mah jongg is more than a game—it’s an experience. Her teaching style blends warmth, structure, and humor, making every session approachable yet elevated. Students appreciate her ability to simplify complex rules while keeping camaraderie and confidence at the forefront.
