TEAM LEAGUE

The Mahj Life Team League is a high-stakes, three-week elimination tournament that celebrates teamwork, strategy, and endurance. Held every March on the Mahjong Time platform, this biennial competition begins with eight teams—each a guild of six players—vying for advancement. Only six teams move to the semi-finals, and three to the finals, where the top contenders battle for the coveted Ruby, Jade, and Pearl titles. The top three teams share in the cash award pool and earn traveling trophies that symbolize excellence and camaraderie in competitive play. Registration opens each January, with team leaders encouraged to rally their guilds early and claim their spot in Mahj Life history.

How It Works:

To hold the event, we need a minimum of 8 teams

We will use the Mahjong Time online platform because its guild feature is perfectly suited for this online competition.

The team leader must register with Mahj Life using the form below. The team leader will be invoiced for the registration fee ($240 plus transaction fees). The registration fees contribute to the award pool. The more teams that sign up, the larger the award pool will grow—so be sure to invite others to participate for a bigger payout!

Each team can have up to six players. Teams with fewer players will be disadvantaged, so make every effort to have a staked team throughout the competition. The EON/EPOCH application on a desktop or laptop is recommended, but the Mahjong Time Multiplayer (Jingle Prize) mobile app can also be used.

Individuals can participate in as many games and marathons as they like up to 3 hours daily, from Sunday to Saturday. Games and marathons are not scheduled, so individuals can play when convenient.
