INVITATIONAL
The first Mahj Life INVITATIONAL is an annual virtual mini-tournament held at Mahjong Time on the FIRST Saturday in November. Members of the Beat the Pro Winner’s Circle will be invited to compete as Contenders to determine who is the best of the best. The event concludes with the top Contender being awarded Champion, while the remaining eleven highest-ranked players are recognized as Runners-up, ensuring twelve members in the winner’s circle. This esteemed competition offers a respected title to those who succeed.
The registration fee is $30, which funds the prize pool and SWAG. The top six places receive cash prizes plus dragon chips! The top 12 players are eligible to participate in the BIENIAL RUMBLE.
Beat the Pro winner’s circle members for a given season can participate in that season’s INVITATIONAL mini-tournament. The season runs from the first Friday of January to the last Friday of September.
The top 12 INVITATIONAL winner’s circle members in the current cycle are invited to compete as Tributes in the Mahj Life Biennial RUMBLE, a prestigious virtual mini-tournament held every two years on the THIRD Saturday in November at Mahjong Time. The event culminates in crowning the top Tribute as the Victor, while the next top five high-ranked players are recognized as Rivals. This competition represents the ultimate test of skill and strategy, granting prestigious titles to those who prevail.

Prerequisites
Participants should be comfortable playing a 12-minute game with 8 seconds for decision-making after each pass and pick.
Before the event, participants must download and install Epoch, their full-featured laptop/desktop application. Mac users: Watch this tutorial. If you have trouble, contact support@mahjongtime.com for assistance. Once installed, players must register for an account/subscription.
NOTE: A paid account is not required. However, dragon chips (e.g., in-game currency) are needed to play games with humans. When players join a table to play with humans, they pay an entry fee (e.g., anti) in the form of dragon chips. Players with a free subscription get enough dragon chips to play about four games per day. Players with paid subscriptions get more dragon chips, so there should be plenty to play with.
