4ommentary: Consecutive runs use suited tiles 1-9, and any hand that uses a consecutive run can start with any number unless “these numbers only” is stipulated in the hand description (e.g., Consecutive Run #1). The White Dragon is used as a zero only in blocks used for the year.  

Question from a player:  Can I use a “0” in a consecutive run? 

Answer from the NMJL A zero may never be used in a consecutive run.
