Tracy Jackson
Biography
Tracy is a mah jongg instructor who teaches American mah jongg using National Mah Jongg League rules. Her teaching style is simple, concise, and highly effective—designed to reduce overwhelm and shorten the learning curve for most players. Tracy believes Mah Jongg is more than a game or a passing hobby; it’s a gateway to sharper thinking, stronger social connections, and meaningful community.
Those who study with Tracy gain more than just technical skill. They develop critical thinking, situational awareness, social intelligence, and a true appreciation for the game’s rules, etiquette, and flow. Most importantly, her students leave with new friendships formed around the table.
A natural teacher, Tracy uses clear techniques and practical reminders that help students grow more confident with every session. Since beginning her journey in May 2023—when she sought out a teacher not just to learn the game, but to learn how to teach it—Tracy has taught thousands of students across the globe. She has helped raise thousands of dollars through mah jongg fundraisers and mentored several assistants, many of whom have gone on to become instructors themselves.
When she’s not teaching mah jongg, Tracy leads Women’s Bible Studies, travels with her husband, and enjoys time with their six grandchildren.
