Toni Dupuis
Biography
Toni Dupuis, originally from Michigan, moved to Georgia in 1980 and is a retired accountant and legal assistant. After retiring 10 years ago, she discovered a love for woodworking and has enjoyed making furniture.
She first played mah jongg with a group of friends 15 years ago and has been hooked ever since. Watching Michele’s videos, following various Mah Jongg sites, and reading everything she can find has helped her refine her skills. Over the years, she has taught many players and recently helped develop the Cherokee County Mah Jongg group. She loves seeing the joy on players’ faces when everything “clicks” and they feel like true Mah Jongg players.
Beyond mah jongg, Toni runs her own bowling league, enjoys traveling, and is learning poker. Her next challenge is mastering Hong Kong and Chinese Classical mahjong.
For Toni, the best parts of mah jongg are calling “Mah!” when she wins and spending time with both old and new friends.
