Susan Puckett is an American Mah Jongg instructor who teaches according to the National Mah Jongg League rules. Known for her friendly, patient, and approachable style, she brings skill and enthusiasm to every class. Her passion for the game is deeply personal—not just for the joy of playing but also for the sense of community and connection it fosters around the table.

After losing her husband in the fall of 2021, Susan, a proud military widow, recognized the importance of staying engaged. Over coffee at a local café, a dear friend introduced her to Mah Jongg, and from that first game, she felt its transformative power. Learning to play in 2024 brought new purpose and a vibrant circle of friends. Within a year, she became a certified instructor, eager to share the experience with others.

One of her proudest teaching moments was introducing her nine-year-old granddaughter to Mah Jongg—who, after just one afternoon, became a regular player herself.

Beyond the game, Susan is a devoted grandmother, the primary caregiver for her 97-year-old mother, and the co-founder of a thriving in-person book club launched with her late husband in 2020. She’s also a passionate supporter of Air Force base personnel and local law enforcement—and a proud dog mom to her loyal yellow Labrador service dog, Shep.
