Biography
Sue learned to play mahjong in 2020 by watching Michele Frizelle on YouTube. She bought a set of tiles and played up to a dozen games per day and gave names to her imaginary players (West=Wisteria, East=Esther, North =Nora, South =Sylvia). In 2021 she looked for real players and began playing in person. Many players left for vacations and Sue realized that the best way to have more players was to teach new people. As a former elementary and middle school teacher, Sue knew strategies to teach a variety of topics and wanted to apply them to mahjong. Her love of the game, and desire to learn and improve as a player and teacher led to her to join the guild.
