Lisa Veiga
Biography
Lisa has been playing American mah jongg since the fall of 2022. She and a few friends host games and offer free lessons through the Emerald Coast Social Club at her local community center. She also teaches on Thursdays at a local library. In one session she had three brand new players and one was scared to learn. Lisa sat with her and just after three games she began to pick it up. When she left she said, “I think I am going to start playing more mah jongg instead of cards. That was so much fun.” Inspired by people like her, Lisa continues to teach others how to play while building her own skills and learning new strategies.
