Lisa brings more than four decades of experience as a Registered Nurse and Doctor of Nursing Practice to everything she does. For over 20 years, she taught emergency nurses and physicians at a large metropolitan medical center, building a career grounded in education, mentorship, and calm leadership in high-pressure environments.

Throughout her professional life, Lisa trained healthcare professionals to think critically, remain focused, and make confident decisions under pressure—skills that translate seamlessly to the mah jongg table. Her teaching style is clear, structured, supportive, and encouraging.

In retirement, while staying active with pickleball and golf, Lisa discovered mah jongg as a way to keep her mind sharp. Self-taught and quickly captivated, she developed a deep appreciation for the game’s strategy, mental challenge, and social connection.

Recognizing that mah jongg can feel overwhelming at first, Lisa combines her decades of teaching experience with patience and enthusiasm to make learning approachable and enjoyable.
