Biography
Leslie is a lifelong teacher and learner with a BS from Vanderbilt and a Master’s from UGA. After teaching high school English and Bible for 40 years, she discovered a new passion: the wonderful game of mah jongg. Now, she brings the same enthusiasm, encouragement, and humor to her lessons, helping students explore everything from the Charleston to card strategy to positive table play.
Leslie believes mah jongg is a beautiful community builder, and she loves watching friendships form around the table. Her goal is to help others experience the peace, connection, and joy that the game brings—and to make it feel approachable every step of the way.
When she’s not teaching or playing, Leslie enjoys traveling the U.S. in her motorhome with her husband, hiking and biking in National Parks, and cherishing time with her children and grandchildren.
