Biography
Laura has taught group mah jongg lessons at community centers, member-only clubs, educational institutions, and philanthropic organizations. She finds joy in watching students grow in both confidence and skill, and takes special pride in knowing her classes promote brain health and social connection. Grateful for the organizations that support these opportunities, Laura brings enthusiasm and dedication to every lesson.
A Penn State University liberal arts graduate, Laura first learned mah jongg at a Wisconsin community center and soon began teaching others. After relocating to North Carolina in 2020, she resumed teaching and playing, continuing to refine her own skills so she can better meet her students’ needs and help them enjoy all aspects of the game.
