Biography
Kathy began playing Mah Jongg seven years ago at the Pinecrest Community Center in Miami where she is an instructor today. Through the years she has progressed to be an advanced/intermediate player and is an enthusiastic student of the game. She teaches the official version of American Mah Jongg according to the rules, regulations, and standards of the National Mah Jongg League. She believes Mah Jongg is more about learning and community and less about winning. She does not teach the money-for-points version of Mah Jongg. Her philosophy of Mah Jongg instruction can be summed up this way: “Mah Jongg is about harmony; harmony in the hand you are playing, harmony at your table, harmony in the room of players, and harmony in your day.”
