Biography
After retiring from a long career in physical therapy, Julie discovered mah jongg—and it quickly became a beloved part of her life. Alongside spending time with her grandchildren, exploring machine embroidery, learning piano, and volunteering with a refugee support group, she devotes as much time as possible each week to playing mah jongg. She’s active in two regular in-person groups and plays online several days a week. She’s even entered a few tournaments and was thrilled to win one. Julie has passed her love of the game on to her daughter—who’s now just as obsessed—and has voluntarily taught two full groups of beginners. After hearing about this high-value instruction program from another player, she’s ready to be all in.
