Jill is a lifelong resident of Mississippi with a deep-rooted love for games and connection. Growing up, Sunday gatherings at her grandmother’s house meant Spades, Rook, dice games, and board games, instilling in her a passion for game nights that brought people together.

When Jill discovered mah jongg, she was immediately intrigued. She dove into learning the game—reading, researching, and connecting with experienced players. To her surprise, many friends expressed interest in learning alongside her. As a retired educator of 28 years, Jill quickly realized her skillset was perfect for teaching mah jongg in a fun, approachable way.

She began creating her own visuals and activities, and soon had a steady stream of eager learners. To build a sense of community and practice, she launched Rack and Rollers—a group that hosts open play events and weekly gatherings where players connect, build friendships, and sharpen their skills.

For Jill, mah jongg is more than just a game—it’s a way to engage the mind, create meaningful connections, and foster a sense of belonging. She’s excited to continue sharing her enthusiasm and helping others discover the joy of mah jongg.
