Biography
Jennifer Pipes, owner of Moxie Mahjong, found Mahjong to be a new empty nester looking for a meaningful hobby. After 31 years of raising boys and working full-time, she searched for a hobby that would keep her mind sharp but allow her to spend time with others. When a friend told her about Mahjong, she became intrigued and began reading, researching, and learning. The more she researched, the more she found that there is another very appealing part to the game: the artistry of the tiles. Whether vintage, classic, whimsical, or artsy, Jennifer was drawn to the various styles of tiles and mats. Excited to share the game with others, Jennifer formed a teaching business named Moxie Mahjong. Why the name Moxie? Moxie means energy, determination, and know-how, all traits needed to enjoy the game of Mahjong. Jennifer is excited to share her love of all things Mahjong with others and invites you to follow her on Instagram.
