Biography

Elizabeth is a former corporate IT systems trainer who specialized in onboarding new hires and supporting system rollouts. Her passion for teaching has naturally carried over into mah jongg instruction, where she combines her structured training background with a warm, engaging approach.

Her journey with mah jongg began in 2024 during a deeply personal time, when her mother was discharged with dementia. The game became both therapeutic and grounding, offering comfort through community while also providing meaningful mental engagement. This experience shaped Elizabeth’s commitment to helping others experience the cognitive and social benefits of mah jongg.

Elizabeth tailors her instruction to the age and skill level of her students, creating lessons that are practical, engaging, and accessible. She also enjoys sharing the history of the game, drawing from well-regarded mah jongg resources and literature to enrich the learning experience. Elizabeth is dedicated to helping players of all ages discover and enjoy mah jongg, fostering both confidence and connection along the way.
