Biography
Betty Bobbitt Byrne is a seasoned attorney and educator at Faulkner Law School, where she specializes in preparing graduating law students for the bar exam. With a deep interest in learning styles and study strategies, Betty integrates these insights into her teaching—both in the classroom and around the mah jongg table.
A lifelong learner and dedicated instructor, Betty teaches American mah jongg using National Mah Jongg League rules. Her students and friends alike praise her for making complex concepts easy to understand, a skill that has contributed to Faulkner Law’s impressive bar passage rate—one of her proudest professional achievements.
Betty brings joy and enthusiasm to every class she leads, whether she’s guiding future lawyers or helping new players discover the thrill of mah jongg. When she’s not teaching or playing, you’ll likely find her needlepointing. She is the proud mother of two grown children and is excited to welcome her first grandchild soon.
