Biography
Allison is an American mah jongg instructor with a background in community engagement and a passion for teaching with clarity, warmth, and intention. She was first drawn to the game by its strategy and stunning tile designs—but it was the connection and camaraderie around the table that truly captured her heart.
Allison now teaches the game to help others not only learn the rules but also build confidence, discover their rhythm, and find community through play. She runs a local mah jongg business and curates the popular social media account @craks.and.snacks, where she shares practical tips, rule breakdowns, and tile-by-tile inspiration.
In addition to ongoing lessons, Allison offers in-person workshops and private sessions for groups seeking a meaningful, engaging addition to their events. She believes mah jongg is a game of tradition, timing, and conversation—and feels honored to help others find joy in every tile.
