Laurie has been a middle school math teacher for over 23 years and brings that same clarity, adaptability, and enthusiasm to her mah jongg instruction. With extensive experience in multiple teaching styles, she understands that every learner is unique—and tailors her lessons to meet each student’s needs in a fun, interactive way.

Laurie has been playing mah jongg for 13 years, and her love of both teaching and the game naturally merged into her newest passion: helping others learn and enjoy mah jongg. She delights in the moment when concepts “click” and her students begin playing with confidence and joy.

She currently resides in northern New Jersey and spends time at her second home in Pennsylvania. Laurie is married with two adult daughters and is a proud grandmother to two little ones.
