The Game Circuit is designed for instructors who want to assess and strengthen their knowledge of American Mah Jongg without the time commitment and rigor of the full AMJ Quest for microcredentials. You’ll work through the same study guides used in the Merit Program treks for Rules, Strategy, and Sportsmanship — but here, the focus is on learning, self-assessment, and practical application rather than formal assignments or evaluations.
Across three key areas, you’ll confirm your understanding of the official National Mah Jongg League rules, explore powerful strategies for offense and defense, refine essential gameplay skills, and review the role sportsmanship plays in creating a positive playing environment. How you choose to apply these insights in your own teaching or gameplay is entirely up to you.
Each module includes a 12-question multiple-choice quiz drawn from the related AMJ Quest question bank, giving you a clear picture of your current strengths and opportunities for growth. Because the same question bank is used, you’ll also get a sneak peek at what the Merit Program for Instructors is like — and a chance to decide whether earning microcredentials could help boost your credibility.
When you finish this circuit, you’ll have a solid foundation in the game’s core competencies — and if you choose, you can continue to the Credibility Circuit to complete the full AMJ Quest and earn official microcredentials.
